On 25/5/23, CFK Board members attended a special morning tea at Kidsafe SA where CFK was presented with the Helen Noblet Award for children’s safety.  The Helen Noblet Award recognises individuals, groups or whole organisations that have made a significant contribution to child injury prevention in South Australia through; advocacy, programs, research, or the influence of policy, in particular through work they have completed on behalf of or in conjunction with Kidsafe SA.

CFK was recognised for their 11 year partnership with Kidsafe encompassing several major campaigns in relation to driveway run-over deaths, home injury prevention and funding a free child seat restraining service targeting outer northern/southern metropolitan suburbs and country locations in South Australia. The child restraint fitting service funding partnership will run until 2025. Details about upcoming fitting service events can be found on the Kidsafe Facebook page at Kidsafe SA | Adelaide SA | Facebook.

South Australia Police management from their Road Safety Branch and Major Crash Investigation Section attended providing a unique insight into how terrible accidents such as driveway run-overs are investigated and the effects on first responders.
