Cops for kids committee members have assisted Kidsafe to launch the new Driveway Safety Campaign funded by CFK. The Community Service advertisement (CSA) will be run on free to air television from now on encouraging us all to ensure the safety of our children around vehicles. It is the goal of the campaign to reinforce this important safety message to ensure no family has to endure the pain of the loss of a child that is preventable. Backpacks 4 SA Kids
CFK has donated $26,000 to Backpacks 4 SA Kids, a fantastic grassroots organisation who provide backpacks containing clothes, pyjamas, toothbrushes, torches etc. to children who are placed in emergency foster care, kinship or domestic violence shelters after being removed from their domestic environment. These backpacks contain a number of age appropriate articles that are essential to a scared and vulnerable child when they have little time to grab what is important them.
