In response to numerous requests CFK has been assisting local children’s charities during the Covid-19 crisis. Our member’s donations have been hard at work behind the scenes to help out some of the most vulnerable in the community.
Since February this year we have made the following donations:
1. $18,570 – Donation to Tutti Arts to purchase much needed equipment to be used by their special needs children to compose music, engage in film/video making/editing and other digital technologies. Information about Tutti can be found at Tutti Arts .
2. $9,227.90 – Donation to Hospital School (Women’s and Children’s Hospital, Flinders Hospital and Lyell McEwin Hospital). We funded the purchase of 10 x Pro Books to be used by children in hospital to continue their education. These have already been in use for the last six weeks. We thank the Women’s and Children’s Foundation for their assistance with this partnership.
3. $25,000 – Donation to the Childhood Cancer Association to fund their counselling services for the next year. The counselling service (Specialist Psychologists etc.) is the only such service available for children and their families who are dealing with this disease.
