Cops for Kids were thrilled to receive these photos from the Mary Potter Foundation of the recently completed Family Lounge at the Mary Potter Hospice (Calvary Hospital).
As well as some photos of the newly refurbished room, we wanted to share an excerpt from the Impact Report that we received from the foundation:
“Every year hundreds of families visit the Mary Potter Hospice and now thanks to the support of Cops for Kids SA, every child has a very special place, especially designed to support them. For families spending time in the Hospice, the family lounge gives a space of welcome respite to entertain children and allow them to play. It provides a work bench for easy use of laptops and iPads for adults and children alike. The benefits of the new fit out go above and beyond and although it’s only early days, the positive impact this space is making has already been noticed by many of the staff and volunteers in the Hospice. Your commitment and support will continue to improve the experience of death. It’s never easy saying goodbye to a loved one, but your support helps patients and their families to make the most of their time together – every day, every hour at Mary Potter.”
