Cops for Kids has received an update from the Mary Potter Foundation about the redevelopment of the Children’s Room at the Mary Potter Hospice (Calvary Hospital).
The foundation has been working to design a room that meets the needs of children in the hospice and settled on the plans pictured below. They have engaged a local cabinet maker and interior architect and anticipate the work will commence in April 2016.
As shown on the plan, the room includes:
-Writable paint to wall
– Entertainment unit with game console
– Children’s entry door
– Fresh paint, new flooring and electrical work ensuring power points are not in reach of children
– New toys
– New furniture that is covered with high performance vinyl and meets safety standards of healthcare industry
