CFK have donated the second instalment of $10,000, part of our three-year partnership with the Aboriginal Basketball Academy (ABA). The Academy acts as a pathway for Aboriginal Year 10-12 students to develop themselves by participating in a basketball program though the main emphasis is on attendance, participation, education, personal development, teamwork, leadership and community. All students are mentored to complete schooling at this level and given pathways to higher education and employment, including employment with government. The program is run at YMCA recreation centre St. Clair (Woodville). Information pertaining to the mission and goals of the ABA can be found at Aboriginal Basketball Academy.
