Cops for Kids has partnered with Backpacks for SA Kids to fund the Home Starter Pack program that supports families and young people transitioning to independent living and turning a house into a home. The program provides basic household items such as bedding, kitchen equipment and cleaning products. These packs allow recipients to start off with a foundation of essential items to give them the confidence to ‘thrive and survive’. Home Starter packs change lives.
Backpacks for SA Kids has reported a dramatic increase in demand, with requests more than doubling in the past year. The new partnership arrangement will assist immediate needs while also securing sustainable, long-term funding for the program.
