CFK nominated for FOCUS Award

On Friday 20 March 2026, Cops for Kids Board members attended the 2026 FOCUS Awards (The Flame of Change Unifying Support) hosted by KWY Aboriginal Corporation.  This prestigious event shines a spotlight on the outstanding achievements of individuals and organisations working across domestic, family and sexual violence, child protection, homelessness and disability sectors.

Cops for Kids was nominated in the award category for Excellence in Child Protection Initiatives in Health which recognises innovative and compassionate health sector initiatives that strengthen child protection and support the wellbeing of children and families, led by individuals, teams or organisations.

Whilst Cops for Kids did not win this category, it was a privilege to be nominated alongside the Women’s and Children Health Network (The Cocoon Program) and the award winner, Katherine West Health Board (Family Support Services).  KWY’s vision is for Aboriginal peoples to thrive through being culturally strong, empowered, and safe.  Cops for Kids is humbled and proud to be recognised by KWY for the work we do enhancing the lives of Indigenous children.
