Cops for Kids has donated the second instalment of its three-year $50,000 child restraint road safety partnership with Kidsafe SA. Between 80-90% of child seats/restraints are used or installed incorrectly. Children from vulnerable families, children living in the outer northern and southern suburbs and children living outside metropolitan Adelaide are 3 times more likely to die in a transport crash than children living within metropolitan Adelaide.
Kidsafe SA will continue to conduct free child seat restraint fitting and checking service in targeted country locations and the outer northern and southern suburbs with the aim to reduce the incidence of child road deaths and injury.
