More Seizure Monitors for the Epilepsy Centre

The Epilepsy centre logo

Cops for Kids are committed to helping children and parents by assisting the Epilepsy Centre with our second donation of $14,815 of a three-year funding agreement which will guarantee the supply of 15 Seizure Monitors a year between 2023-2025.

Seizure Monitors are a lifesaving piece of medical equipment that is attached to a child’s bed and detects movements similar to seizures.  If a child suffers a seizure while sleeping, an alarm is triggered alerting the family.  These seizure mats are life saving for the children but are also able to alleviate a parent’s anxiety.  The supply of these monitors is crucial to the health of the entire family and substitutes the need for a parent or sibling to sleep in the same room/bed as a child with epilepsy.

The Epilepsy Centre has made a promise to supply the monitor for families in need, free of charge.  Cops for Kids’ support is vital to ensuring the supply of this life saving equipment.
