Noorla Yo-Long Climbing Wall

The grand opening of the completed indoor rock-climbing wall at the Noorla Yo-Long outdoor adventure centre happened on Tuesday the 9th of February at Rendelsham, South Eastern Australia.  The climbing wall was the culmination of multiple sponsors – including CFK’s $15,000 donation in August 2019.  We joined efforts with Variety SA, Lions branches at Naracoorte, Lucindale and Millicent, and the Mt Gambier Lakes Rotary Club.  Construction was assisted by youth undertaking courses at the Millicent Independent Learning Centre under the instruction of a master builder.  The opening was attended by local government Mayors, state politicians and police management.

The climbing wall provides indoor activities for a multitude of youth to help challenge their mindsets and build resilience.  Two local schools attended the grand opening with a selection of students who absolutely loved the wall!

Students from St Anthony’s and Newbery Park Primary School’s get first run at the wall.
