Ronald McDonald House on Melbourne Street in North Adelaide has been the ‘home away from home’ for countless families over the last 25 years. The service provides free accommodation for families that need it most to keep parents close to their children during medical treatment which could mean short term or extensive stays at the facility.
This year, Ronald McDonald House is expanding its service, adding 5 new rooms to cater for the 190 families it had to turn away last year as the House just did not have the room. Re-building started on the 19th of May 2025.
To help build the 5 new rooms, Cops for Kids has donated $25,000 to assist with the completion and outfitting of the rooms. Ronald McDonald House Charities is targeting raising $250,000 by 30 June 2025, to complete the project. You can follow the fundraising efforts at RMHC SA : 25 for 25 Campaign
