Seizure Monitors Save Lives

The Epilepsy centre logo

Cops for Kids has a long association with the Epilepsy Centre of SA, having been a fervent supporter of their work since 2011. The Epilepsy Centre of SA and Cops for Kids have entered into a 3 year partnership.

Our previous donations have enabled the purchase of Seizure Monitors, a lifesaving piece of medical equipment that is attached to a child’s bed and detects movements similar to seizures, sounding a loud alarm and alerting the family if a seizure occurs during the night. Not only are children more secure, but the monitors also alleviate their parent’s anxiety and allow a better night’s rest.

Due to an unprecedented demand, Cops for Kids latest donation of $13,798, guarantees the supply of 15 Seizure Monitors per year until the end of 2025.

The Epilepsy Centre has made a promise and dedication to purchasing this equipment for families in need, free of charge.  The Epilepsy Centre
