Cops for Kids continues to support groundbreaking research improving the quality of life for children suffering pain, with the clinical research grant partnership with the Australian Pain Society.
The clinical care that children are sometimes required to have can cause pain, fear and anxiousness that can make treatment difficult and affect the child, not just physically but mentally. Witnessing a child suffering in pain is not only distressing for the child but also for family and friends as well as clinicians.
The Australian Pain Society is a multidisciplinary association whose purpose is to advance pain management through education, research, and advocacy for transformational improvements in clinical care.
The Australian Pain Society / Cops for Kids research grant provides initial seed funding for important research and is the only paediatric research grant in Australia. Australian Pain Society
